Let me ask you this question.. Would you show anyone and everyoneÂ POWAY HOMES FOR SALE if you were me?
Let me explain. The other day I got someone you signed up on our super cool POWAY REAL ESTATE BLOG website that you are on right now. They were googling something like POWAY HOMES FOR SALE, POWAY FORECLOSURES, POWAY BANK OWNED HOMES, POWAY SHORT SALES, POWAY REAL ESTATEâ€¦etc
Letâ€™s just call this guy who signed up on my POWAY HOMES website â€œSERGIOâ€â€¦ Ok then. So, this guy signs up on my site looking for POWAY HOMES FOR SALE, no problem. He provided his name and email, and even his phone number( WHICH IS OPTIONAL). Now once he found a POWAY HOME FOR SALE that he found to be of interest, he then sends me another email to SCHEDULE A SHOWING on this POWAY HOME FOR SALE. Boy was I excited! Now I called the next day and spoke to SERGIO. I asked him some very basic questions about his intentions etc.
This guy actually thought I like WASTING MY TIME showing POWAY HOMES. Well, mistaken he was. I told him STRAIGHT UP how I run my business and told him that Iâ€™m going to be AS BLUNT WITH HIM AS POSSIBLE and that there is NO NEED TO FLUFF UP THE CONVERSATION with touchy feely stuff.
Here where the questions I asked himâ€¦ and boy did he get pissed off once I told him that I DID NOT WANT TO WASTE MY TIME SHOWING HIME HOMES IN POWAY.. actually just one Home in Poway.
Here is how the call went.
Hello is this Sergio? â€” ME
Yes this is heâ€”â€” HIM
Hey Sergio thanks for using our POWAY REAL ESTATE site and for requesting a showing on that home in Poway. â€“ ME
Let me ask you do you have a POWAY REALTOR yet? â€“ ME
Ok, great. Are you aware that this is a POWAY SHORT SALE? Do you know what that means? â€“ ME
( then I explained what a Poway Short Sale entails)
Well when is a good time to see this home in Poway?- ME
Monday at 230.- Him
Ok, I can possibly do that. Let me ask you WHEN DO YOU WANT TO BUY A HOME IN POWAY? â€“ ME
Oh I want to buy a year from now- HIM
WHAT! ( this is what I was thinking) So I said- Oh, then you are just looking then eh?- ME-
Well, are you atleast qualified and or pre approved to buy a home in Poway?
Well, here is where the conversation turned ugly.
I just simply asked him if I could be SUPER OPEN AND HONEST WITH HIMâ€¦.. ( isnâ€™t that the right thing to DO??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????)
So I basically told him that I did not want to drive him around to see POWAY HOMES FOR SALE and that no REaltor in their right mind would either. I told him the BEST THING he could do for HIMSELF is to go get prequalified to see if he can even afford or qualify for this Home for sale in Poway for around 350K.
Then he got pretty upset. Anyhow, I told him the facts and my experiences with this type of scenario. I told him that heâ€™s got to do his part first before he wants me to BE HIS TAXI.
He did NOT appreciate my â€”â€”â€”â€”â€”â€“HHHHOOONNNESSSTTTTTYYYYYâ€”â€”â€”â€”â€”-
Well, would you? Do you want a stand up Honest Poway Realtor who will always be honest and straight forward with you? Thatâ€™s what I thought.
Donâ€™t get me wrong. I donâ€™t like feeling like the bad guy, but Iâ€™ve learned from MANY MANY mistakes and Iâ€™ve been BURNED WAY TOO MANY TIMES!!!!!!!!! Time is money and I hardly doubt that just cause I show you a home in Poway, that a year later you will feel obligated to buy a POWAY HOME FOR SALE from me.
Are you interested in buying a home around Poway.. Well, if so, get a pre approval letter in your hand and do everybody a favor, especially yourself.
