Mortgage Rates....Can they get any lower?

This past week, mortgage rates have slightly lowered according to Freddie Mac.  On a 30 year loan the average fell to 3.54 (with .8 points) from 3.57.  Last years average was 3.98.  It makes one wonder how long these great rates will last?  In combination with attractive home prices, now might be the time to own a property in Vermont.  Make sure to take advantage of these if you are thinking of buying.  This week’s featured home is 44 Chapin in Brattleboro VT.  With over 3500 square feet, this gracious in-town Victorian provides three full levels of wonderful living space. Numerous original features abound and there is a real sense of elegance from days past. Features include Hardwood flooring; period trim, moldings and doors; 5+ bedrooms, 2.5 baths; Formal living and dining rooms; front parlor, spacious and unique kitchen, family room, elegant entry, wraparound porch, deck, pergola and much more. A special home and an easy walk to all that downtown Brattleboro offers!
