Understanding the buyer agent side


Wow, seems to me the general public doesn't understand you should get a buyer agent to represent you when purchasing a home, ranch or business property.  The agent whom has listed the property is the seller side of the transaction.  When you call that agent and ask them to help with this property, they are representing the seller's side until you get the permission from both sides to act represent both the seller and buyer.  Make sure they can fight for your side fairly!

As a buyer's agent I know that buyers do not realize until they go through the process just how valuable their own agent is to them. Most people think that buying a home is as simple a finding a home they like and placing offer on it, and a with wave of the magic wand and it is done - they have a new home. In today's market, having a professional sales agent on your side is a must, because buying a home is like walking through a mine field. The right agent has been through this mine field before, and they know the way to get you to the other side - with keys to that new home.
