We have seen homes sit on the market through the winter months wondering if things were ever going to change. Were the buyers ever going to come back. But now we have seen the change starting to change. Since January the traffic has increase and the deals are being made. The inventory is going down and we are now seeing excepted offers in our MLS.
Is it still a buyers market. Well I would say yes. But how would you define a buyers market. Are you able to offer 20% less for a home and someone will take it. No that is not happening. Price are down because the market went way down. Seller that really don't like the prices are not listing their homes. They feel they have lost so much money that they will wait it out.
OK let's think about that. So they wait for the prices to go back up. Are you looking to buy a new home? If you have answered yes. If you wait who are you really helping is the banks that we have all grown to not like. If you purchase a house for more who wins the banks. If you are not going to stay in the housing market. Now is not the time for you to sell. When prices go up so will the next home you are looking at will also go up. If you bought your home in the last few years you may not be able to move because you bought it at the top of the market. Yes you are going to have to wait.
