If you are in town and looking for local seafood and a hearty meal try John West Seafood.  I just had lunch there and enjoyed the rock fish sandwich and fries.  Located about 5 miles south of the Traffic Light for Cape Charles on Townsend Drive. Turn beside the Citgo station and you will see it in a large building on the left.  Open for breakfast, lunch and Dinner.  It is not fancy place but if you want good fresh seafood its the place to go.   They also sell fresh seafood in the restaurant as well.

Looking for local artwork, duck carvings and other hand made items check out the Arts Enter store on Mason Avenue in the town of Cape Charles, Va.   While you are there there is an old soda fountain in Rayfields Pharmacy at the corner of Fig and Mason that serves great root beer floats, hamburgers and fries.

If you are traveling through the area and looking for lodging, right on Rt 13 is Shore Stay Suites 5 miles north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel and if you are in Cape Charles check out the Cape Charles Hotel on Mason Avenue.
