This week we are going to see Yelp reviews of Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre, located at 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a geological phenomenon – the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world. From Sting and The Beatles, to opera stars and U2, every artist aspires to play on this magical, spiritual and emotional stage. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver’s Arts & Venues Division.

Claire from Denver, CO says, “Breath taking! It's beautiful here!!! Everyone who visits Colorado must go here. I've never seen something so beautifully constructed by mother nature (besides grand canyon) but this is a sight to see. Two large monoliths (rock formations) enclose a beautiful amphitheater, which enables acoustics to generate magnificently throughout the theater. Open aired concerts, events and movies are played here from summer to fall. The seating was constructed like stairs not chairs. During weekends, the locals come use the stadium seating as exercise. They use the trails for hiking. The entire park is so amazing to take in, it's huge! I promise you, watching a concert here, is like nothing else. There is available parking in 3 areas, the bottom near the gift shop, the middle near the bridge (you can use the bridge to hike up to the lower part of the amphitheater) or the upper area (where it's easily accessible to the sights, museum and restaurant). The museum is very informative. Take a quick look, you'll find the music area interesting. There is a restaurant though it closes early. Good for brunch, lunch and late lunch.”

Louisa from Vernon Rockville, CT says, “Such a BEAUTIFUL place. The amphitheatre is HUGE. They have 70 rows of seats with 100+ seats per row. I went during the day to visit. There were so many people exercising at the amphitheatre. I was motivated to run too, if I had the proper attire. There are 390+ steps from the top of the amphitheatre to the Trading Post Road. 190+ stairs from the top of the amphitheatre to the stage. Excellent place to workout. Outdoor seating. Planning to come back for a show. Also, they have several trails in the park to hike. My husband and I went on the Trading Post Trail. Lots of scenery. Only 1.4 miles long. Beware, if you go downhill, you will need to eventually hike back uphill. Have on good shoes, a bottle of water, and sunblock. Has very minimal shade. Definitely a place to visit. The view is breath-taking.”

Stella from Chicago, IL says, “coming from chicago....i had to rate this a 5 stars! the slopes were challenging but not overly difficult that you would think you are going to die. I love how long the runs are. And i love how each level of slopes are in almost separate area. Like the greens are mostly in the base, the blues are mostly on the base of Peak 7, while the upper Peak 7 and 10 are the blacks, so when you are on the blues/greens, you won't be afraid that you would "slip" into the blacks... My goal next year is to conquer the peak 10 :) this is def. a place for both beginners and advance skiers.”

Mina from Los Angeles, CA says, “Breckenridge was a divinely beautiful place to snowboard. I went for 2 full days last weekend, and loved every minute of it!  Peak 10 is pretty amazing, with the black-blue runs in the beginning, mellowing out to the wide-open blues. Lines can get pretty long during peak season, but not so bad as the socal resorts. Prices are hefty.  $110 for a full day, $220 for 2 days, you don't get a price break unless you buy more than 2 days at a time. You can buy cheaper tickets online, but MUST be at least 7 days in advance. (Wish we knew that). The town is very fun and lively, many restaurants/bars to keep you entertained at night. We also encountered several locals, who were extremely friendly and accommodating to us 'tourists'. Many beautiful luxury cabin rentals in the area. If you're from southern CA and want to get away, and also get some AWESOME snowboarding/ skiing in, go to Breck! (If you're unconvinced, we saw Shaun White and some other pros practicing in the terrain park here!)”

This week we are going to see Yelp reviews of A-1 Scuba & Travel Center, located at the SW corner of Oxford and Santa Fe in Englewood, Colorado. They carry a large selection of quality scuba diving equipment, the best brands, the best equipment, and offer very reasonable prices on everything. They also carry scuba regulators, gauges and computers to fit every need and budget, wide variety of books, accessories, DVDs, diving watches, fish ID cards, dive lights, framed pictures and posters, awesome sunglasses, sunscreen, and everything else you need for a great dive trip.

I came in an hour before close and got a full hour and 10 min of instruction and advice, and the sales guy was respectful of our budget. I'm not sure how other scuba shops are in town, but this one is great!”

Christine from Denver, CO says, “I did there "Try Scuba" class and it was very interesting. I really enjoyed it and the staff was friendly and helpful and the instructor would take the time in a full class to make sure I was okay on the dive(my ears were hurting - still gotta learn the "pop" the ear technique). Anyways, this has inspired me to want to take the full scuba course prior to my vacation to the Cayman Islands that I have plans in Novemeber. I liked the tiki vibe the pool area had, I thought it was totally fun. I really like that one of the "dive options" at the end of the course included diving at the denver aquarium. Which seems super fun. Although this place is no where near my home(downtown denver), if it was closer I would do the course there. There is a different dive shop just blocks from my home. I'm gonna check it out... if I'm not satisfied then I'm gonna make the trek down to A-1.”

This week we are going to see Yelp reviews of Rocky Mountain National Park, situated at 1000 Hwy 36, Estes Park, CO 80517. Jenna from Astoria, Queens, NY says, “I was totally blown away by Rocky Mountain National Park when I came here during a recent trip to the Denver area. It was quite a drive from the city, but it was so worth it. We started out in Estes Park and checked in with the visitor center, who provided us with maps and directed us to the visitor center for the park itself. It was a short but beautiful drive from Estes Park, and we were greeted by really helpful staff at the Beaver Mountain Visitor Center. Because it was so late in the season, there was limited hiking and trail access, but we were able to drive around the park and check out the sights from some of the pull-off points along the way. The views were incomparable, and I loved walking around near the boulders and waterfalls of the Aluvian Fan. Admission to the park is typically pretty steep, but we came here during a free weekend -- bonus! I can imagine that the hiking here must be absolutely incredible and look forward to returning sometime during the summer or early fall to really get the most out of the experience.”

Ted from Denver, CO says, “Beautiful park! Probably third on my list of America's Greatest Idea's, after Yosemite and Yellowstone. Rocky Mountain National Park is just a magical place. I recommend taking old Falls Road up to the pass. Its one way, you can only go up, dirt, (we did see sedans on it) with plenty of places to pull over and check out the stream that the road follows or gaze up at the towering mountains. There are lots of people here but it is a national park, so just be prepared for that. This is of the best places to go if you want to get out in Nature with little to no planning. Just pull into one of the ranger stations and let them know what you would like to see and how strenuous hike you can do and they will give you several options. All of which will be magnificent. If there are a couple of you going make sure to switch who has to drive half way because you really can't appreciate the park AND watch the road.”

Ken, from Denver, CO says, “Free popcorn and soda with admission.  Steep stadium seating so there isn't a bad seat in the house. For a few dollars more (VIP) you get: upgraded seating, popcorn & soda delivered to your seat, waiter service, and the best part...access to the VIP bathrooms (that feature is simply strange, but true).”

Andrea, from Denver, CO says, “I absolutely love this theatre. In fact, I refuse to watch a movie anywhere else. (Well, almost refuse.) Yes it's a little more expensive than the average theatre, but for the most comfortable chairs available, never any screaming children or loud teenagers, unlimited popcorn and soft drinks, an available bar?? Yes, I think I'll pay the extra $3. I came here most recently yesterday to see Super 8. Another terrific experience (good movie, too). I love that you can buy your tickets online or at a kiosk if there is a line and it even tells you how full the theatre is. It's definitely the place to go if you're looking to enjoy your cinema experience!”

Tres, from Denver, CO says, “Fantastic theater! We saw the ribald "Cedar Rapids" here and the theater was posh, super clean and the concessions were very reasonably priced compared to many others. This is expensive real estate, but somehow Landmark manages to keep their prices fair.”
