Money that was meant to fix up the Fillmore's defunct Muni substation is indeed going to bail out jazz lounge Yoshi's instead. $1.5 million goes to Yoshi's, which has "creditors at the door," and Sheba Lounge and Rassales get a little green as well, though not nearly as much, at $90k and $251k respectively. Before the substation's transferred back to the city, though, Supe Ross Mirkarimi wants promises that the city's not just going to let it rot. Translation: lift development restrictions on the building. Translation: condos?! [SF Examiner]
