Methuen Public Schools Closed on February 7th and 8th 2011 for Roof Snow Removal

With record snow fall in the area a very unusual announcement was made over the weekend by Methuen public schools.  Schools will be closed on February 7th and 8th to allow for snow removal from the school roofs.

A heavy snow load on a roof is very risky for a collapse.  Residents are urged to remove heavy amounts of snow off your roof to prevent injury and property damage.  Flat roofs are especially at risk.  For more information on the snow removal efforts in Methuen visit my Methuen Real Estate blog post on Methuen roof snow removal.
