  • Buying or Selling a Horse Farm?

When buying or selling a horse farm make sure your agent is an experienced horse person.  Properties such as these are mishandled unless the agent has direct knowledge of owning a horse farm.  I use the example of; you wouldn’t go to an Ear, nose and throat specialist for a skin condition.  So why would you hire and agent that has very little knowledge of what entails owning a horse farm.  There are matters such as soil conditions, locations, where to find hay, vets, feed stores, contractors, trails, shows, trainers and much much more.  Also some homes may be utilized as horse farms but are not marketed as such.  In not mentioning this to your audience you do a disservice to your seller.  Seller’s and Buyer’s need to ask the question what is your experience with owning a horse farm before hiring someone to help them!
