I See Dead People - New San Ramon Cemetary

I see dead people…but do I need to see 150,000 of them from the living room window in my million dollar plus home? This is what residents of San Ramon will debate in the coming months as plans for 221 acre cemetery move forward.

Developer Sid Corrie would build Creekside Memorial Park on 221 acres at 7000 Camino Tassajara. Creekside Memorial Park would include a chapel, indoor and outdoor mausoleums and extensive landscaping.

In addition to concern over home values, residents have also expressed concern that the development would have significant impact on local water sources.

The Environmental Impact Report draft says that Creekside Memorial would have a "significant and unavoidable" impact on water supply. The county is working with a hydrologist to study the issue.
