It's never too late to donate or volunteer in NYC, the following orginizations would be happy to have you!

1) NY Cares is one of the largest and most popular organizations in NY.  They specialize in matching volunteers with organizations for anything from tutors and foster parents to caretakers for abused animals and revitalization of parks, schools, and neighborhoods.  To get involved all you have to do is visit their website www.NYCares.org , create an account and sign up for the 45 minute mandatory orientation. 

2) NYC Habitat For Humanity is a leading advocate for affordable housing, they help to build for those in need.  To get involved you must be at least 16 years old and able to hang drywall, install insulation, lay flooring, and paint.  Visit www.HabitatNYC.org to sign up.

3) One Warm Coat supports businesses and non profits that host their own coat drives.  They also guide the public to drop-off sites for donations.  Clean and unripped outerwear are preferred.  To get involved go to www.OneWarmCoat.org, and type in your zip code to find local businesses in your areas accepting drop-offs.  You also have the option to start your own coat drive, instructions are on the site.

4) God's Love We Deliver provides and delivers nutritious, customized meals for those in the Tri-State area that are sick or can't cook for themselves.  Volunteers are need for food delivery and a variety of other needs.  Visit www.Glwd.org for a list of opportunities.
