So, how did it get to be half way through 2012 already?  As they say, time flies when you're having fun.  It also flies when you're busy and I have been busy for most of 2012 so far.

For the period of April 1, 2012 - June 30, 2012 there were 72 single family homes sold in Canton MA.  The lowest priced home sold for $195,000.00 and the highest priced home sold for $892,500.00*.  The average sales price was $421,372.00.

Below is a chart showing price ranges of all single family homes sold in Canton MA for the second quarter of 2012.

That is an increase from the second quarter of 2011, when there were a total of 60 single family homes sold in Canton MA with an average sales price of $477,160.  Below is a chart showing the number of home sales in Canton MA during the second quarter for the past five years.

These numbers match what we have been seeing in the market this year.  In fact, the spring business has continued into the summer.  I have yet to see a summer slowdown.  Certain price ranges have very limited inventory.  Buyers are moving quickly when they see a home they like as there is a lot of competition among buyers.
