More neighborhoods within the Alamo Heights School District

Continuing to explore the various neighborhoods that make up the AHISD,  I will write about Oak Park, Northridge, & Northwood.   These  1950's -1960's homes have a more Baby-boomer / Eisenhower- Kennedy feeling than other parts of the AHISD.    A comfortable, prosperous generation called for more spacious lot sizes, and "modern" ideas like two car garages, central air conditioning, and slab foundations .   These features came standard.    The Ranch style home, with mostly single story, lower pitched roof lines is prominent.    Woodridge elementary, and Oak park HEB grocery store are nearby.   Home prices range from 200k  ( entry level ,some updates) .22 acre of land.... to more than  $ 1,000,000  ( New construction, or completely remodeled)  on  1 + acre of land.  Large live oaks, mountain laurels, and other mature vegetation  add much charm to this delightful area of the AHISD.   The appeal of this area of the Alamo Hts. school district continues to grow in popularity.
