Finding the best neighborhoods in Beaufort South Carolina is somewhat like finding the prettiest girl in the beauty pageant. We are so fortunate to have so many charming neighborhoods that picking just a few can be a challenge.

The list below are just some of our favorites and the reasons why! If you are considering a move to Beaufort South Carolina and need information on the best communities, most popular neighborhoods, and homes near our award winning schools; just browse our list below and give us a call.

    Somerset Point

We LOVE this community. We love the natural lush landscaping, the backdrop of the Coosaw River, the large size yards, the southern architecture, the open space parks and so much more. We love that this new community has broken record after record in the new construction industry. Manor House Builders has completely changed the way builders and buyers view new construction. Incredible quality, impressive included features, and professional follow through has changed the face of new construction communities in Beaufort South Carolina.

Located on Ladys Island, less than five minutes from two popular public boat landings, five minutes from an award winning elementary school, twenty minutes to the beach, and ten minutes to historic downtown Beaufort. Ladys Island enjoys the lowest property taxes in all of Beaufort County and offers larger yards than most communities in Beaufort and Port Royal. Certainly one of Beauforts best neighborhoods.

Somerset Point offers five interior floorplans ranging from 1600sqft to 2500sqft. Priced starting at $199,900! The success of these homes was so outstanding that Manor House Builders has now released the Water View Collection that has homes with 3000sqft with breathtaking views of the Coosaw River.

This community is certainly one of our favorites and should be on the top of your list!

    Royal Pines

A Royal Pines Home SOLD by Cherimie CraneAgain, located on Ladys Island. This well established community has been the go to area for families, retirees, and anyone wanting the convenience of Ladys Island, the amenities offered by Ladys Island Country Club and the signature pines that drape the streets.

You can expect to find older homes that have been completely renovated, well maintained, and some newer homes as well. Prices vary from $200-$350k and up. It is a wonderful area that many Beaufortonians have called home for many years.

    Habersham

Once you turn on Market Street you will immediately understand the reasons so many move to Beaufort South Carolina. Habersham exudes charm and the Lowcountry way of life. An adorable retail area is home to shops, restaurants ( We love Maggies), law offices, pet shop and more.

Habersham Home Sold By Cherimie CraneThe homes are stunning! The double porches, grand entryways, and every single detail crafted by the best builders in our area. The community dock is perfect place to put a kayak in or load your friends in the boat for a day of fishing and fun. The child's play area is a work of art, the community garden inspires many, and the many open space parks have been the site of weddings and other celebratory gatherings.

There is no lack of neighborhood events, friendly conversations, or artistic touches. The homes range in price from $350 and up. There are also townhomes and flats designed for a low maintanence lifestyle.

Located in the Burton area of Beaufort it is near both military bases and convenient for anyone wanting to have easy access to Bluffton and Hilton Head.

    Ashdale

Back to Ladys Island again. We love Ashdale for the acre plus yards, the community boat landing that takes you right to some of the best fishing wholes in Beaufort, the close knit community feel, the gorgeous natural landscaping and the larger homes available, some even with private docks!

There is no shortage of pros to this popular Beaufort neighborhood. The Morgan River offers tremendous views and wonderful fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and endless photography opportunities.

Ashdale Home Sold By Cherimie CraneThe homes range in price from $350k-1.5Million! Simply an incredible area with roaming ranches, contemporary capes, and lovely Lowcountry homes.

Of course there are many others, but these are certainly some of our favorites and top our list of Beauforts best neighborhoods.

We love Beaufort and we know Beaufort well. We know the best places to live, work, eat, and shop. We are more than happy to share our knowledge with you. If you are looking for one of Beaufort's best communities, call or email us today. We will get you right to the door.

After many months of planning, permitting, and tons of building we are getting closer and closer to opening our design center and model homes at Somerset Point of Beaufort. So many hours spent anticipating the wants and needs of home seekers, so many ideas coming to life, and so many hopes of what the next few months will bring.

Somerset Point Beaufort SC Ladys IslandI am truly excited to watch another community take form. I can't wait to give they keys to that first family.

I have seen a community go from a vacant lot to a vibrant neighborhood; exactly what I am looking forward to seeing again.

With butterflies fluttering in my tummy, I take pride in each forward step we take to bring a breath of fresh air to the already lovely Ladys Island.

Home seekers will soon have an option not before seen in this price range. Exquisite craftsman details, unique style, spacious floor plans, and large naturally landscaped yards is just the beginning. Somerset Point of Beaufort gives future residents the choice of five floor plans all located in an award winning school district, not too Somerset Point Beaufort SC Ladys Islandmention several nearby boat landings.

On January 3, 2011 I will open the door of our design center which will soon open the doors for many new home owners.

I am confident that our hours spent will be well received and buyers will be extremely happy with our vision, and even happier in their new homes.

A brief history lesson for those of you wondering about Veteran's Day.

In November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words: "To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…"

We thank all of you who served and are serving our country today. You are forever in our hearts and minds for your outstanding service. Here's to You!

The online children's book service A Story Before Bed is giving away 100,000 free children's books online to deployed and deploying parents serving in the U.S. armed forces. Already, more than 3,500 recordings have been given away.

This service lets parents and grandparents record videos of themselves reading children's picture books to their kids. Children can watch the stories in a Web browser or in the exclusive A Story Before Bed app for the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.

Military parents can register for a free subscription on the A Story Before Bed website. They'll receive a subscription, which entitles them to record any of 25 books currently included in the "subscription collection."

Recordings combine a video of the reader along with full-screen images of the pages being recorded. Video and audio are synchronized to the pages of the book, allowing viewers to jump to any part of the book or have a page reread to them as often as they like. Recordings are accessible indefinitely, even after the subscription period runs out.

Something so sweet, so simple, and so awesome needs to be passed around to all of our brave men and women who miss out on that ever precious story time.

Please help me get this wonderful offer out to anyone deployed/deploying.

Many of our clients have deployed and are deploying, we are always searching for programs to make their trips a bit easier.
