It was just over a month ago, in late May, that comedienne turned talk show host, Ellen Degeneres and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, put their 3 acre Beverly Hills compound on the market for a cool $55 million, and it was only last month, in June, that they raised the price almost 15% to a whopping $63 million. The listing description calls the chance to purchase the über-private sanctuary “a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a world class estate.”
Degeneres and de Rossi purchased the 9,200 square-foot main house in 2007 for $29 million and bought the 3 nearby properties, now guest homes, in 2008 to create their dream residence. In addition to all those houses, the property also features beautiful grounds with a pond, a pool, and plenty of space for lounging around and enjoying the awesome city views.
