Despite her status as a veteran actress, with close to 50 years of acting and two Oscars under her belt, Sally Field has never worked with legendary director, Steven Spielberg. That will change this fall however as Field takes on the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in Spielberg’s biopic of the 16th President of the United States. Daniel Day Louis will be tackling the role of Honest Abe, and Entertainment Weekly reports that Field is excited for the opportunity to work with Louis and Spielberg and play “one of the most complicated and colorful women in American history.”
However the former Flying Nun has apparently lost any enthusiasm she had for her Malibu home and is determined to get the 3.5 acre property off her hands. Field listed the home for $6.95 million in 2009, but with no takers it’s back on the market for 15% less at $5.9 million.
The homestead includes a main house, guest apartment, pool, tennis court, horse paddock and barn, and is adjacent to a 2,000 acre conservancy where hiking and equestrian trails abound. The gorgeous main house features 4 bedrooms, newly renovated living and dining areas, a gourmet kitchen, and the decadent master suite includes a private office, library, sitting room, and deck.
