Hockey Great Wayne Gretzky Lists Scottsdale Arizona Hideaway for $3.4 Million!

Hockey’s “Great One” Wayne Gretzky is selling his Scottsdale, Arizona home for $3,395,000. Located at 6436 East Gainsborough Road in an exclusive gated community with only 12 other homes, Gretzky’s desert oasis would make the perfect escape for anyone seeking luxurious amenities and solitude.

According to property records we peeped and previous media reports, Wayne and his wife Janet bought the newly-built home in 2003 for about $2 million.

Now for sale for the first time in a decade, the Gretzky’s home is a beautiful Mediterranean-style mansion with incredible views of Camelback Mountain. Secluded and very private, the home is beautifully finished and perfect for entertaining large parties or intimate gatherings.  The main house includes 3 bedrooms with bathrooms in each, an elegant separate guest bath, a wood-beamed office and top-of-the-line kitchen appliances.

The property also includes a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom detached, separate casita located near the property’s glistening pool.

In other Gretzky property news, in 2007, he sold his Thousand Oaks, CA home to Lenny Dykstra for $18.5 million. Dykstra had a personal life crisis of epic proportions that included a brush with the law, and he eventually lost the home to foreclosure. Once considered the “crown jewel” of Thousand Oaks, the home has a $14.5 million-dollar price tag and is still currently seeking a buyer.
