Shaun White Is Selling His 1960s Sunset Strip Party Pad

Shaun White may be known for shredding the slopes, but the Olympic gold medalist also tears it up in SoCal real estate.

Star snowboarder Shaun White has listed his three-bed, three-bath home just off the Strip in the Hollywood Hills for $2.195 million. He snagged the quintessential Mid-Century home, built in 1963, for $1.7 million back in 2009.

A long driveway leads to the contemporary, single-level home. With spectacular views of the bright lights of the west side of Los Angeles, the home is the prime place for entertaining a ski bunny or two.

A spacious open living room is complemented with hardwood floors and glass walls. A guest bedroom and a den, which could be used as a bedroom, opens up to an expansive deck overlooking the city. Additional features include a cook’s kitchen, a two-car garage with an additional two additional off-street parking spots, and a pool.

Despite spending most of his time shreddin’ the slopes, White seems pretty devoted to life in SoCal. In 2003, he bought a home in the beachside enclave of Malibu, CA for $8.94 million, and another home in Encinitas, CA for $3.85 million back in 2012. (That property, however, has been quite the hot commodity as a summer rental, according to the Los Angeles Times. Seems like people are lining up to spend $12,000-plus for a month of sunshine.)

Then there’s his Carlsbad, CA pad, which he’s owned since 2003. But we’re guessing White gets the majority of his “work” done at his home in Park City, UT, seeing as the Sunset Strip isn’t exactly conducive to a life of sweaters and snow pants.
