Sally Field Puts Down Roots in the Palisades

Sally Field, the spunky actress with decades in the business and a long list of mega-hits on her IMBD profile, has just bought a lovely, understated new home in the fancy Los Angeles enclave of Pacific Palisades. According to public records, Field purchased the home on April 24, 2012 and paid $2,300,000 for the 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 2,806 square-foot pad.

According to the listing, the tucked-behind-a-gate home has “explosive ocean, canyon, mountain and city views.” Well-positioned in the tranquil Castellammare neighborhood, Field’s new home has been remodeled to perfection. Stylish and sweet, the private retreat combines casual California indoor/outdoor lifestyle with impeccable refined sophistication.

The gated courtyard features a stone path, enchanting front yard and dutch door entry. Inside, you’ll find a spacious and open living room, dining room and great room accented with a rich palette of warm, vibrant colors, as well as a dramatic stone fireplace, pitched beam ceilings and sky lights. A wall of folding glass will help Field take in those “explosive views,” or she can step outside onto a huge stone deck with custom pergola into the magical backyard. Not found in many other properties, Field’s new pad has gorgeous, perfectly distressed and beveled Brazilian walnut hardwood floors.  A galley cooks kitchen features soapstone and butcher block counters, stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar and big pantry. Field’s new master suite features a sitting area (a celebrity must-have!), as well as a private balcony, his/hers custom closets, spa tub and more amazing views. Two additional guest suites round-out the rooms in the home. The first has pitched ceilings and custom wall-to-wall closets, and the second is an A-frame with loft area,  French doors and front balcony. Perfect for hosting all of her Brothers & Sisters.
