UPDATE: Michael Phelps Lists His Arizona Home For $4.125M

We'd give this sprawling estate a gold medal any day.

Michael Phelps is making a splash oin the Arizona real estate market. The renowned Olympic swimmer/possible human dolphin just listed his five-bed, seven-bath home in picturesque Scottsdale, Arizona for $4.125 million. Phelps purchased the property back in 2015 for $2.5 million, which means he’ll make a nice profit if he manages to sell at its asking price. He put down roots in the state a few years back when he joined Arizona State University as assistant swim coach.

Located behind gates, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is a sprawling 6,010-square-foot estate that completed construction in 2016. Nestled in front of the exquisite Camelback Mountains and beautifully crafted to embrace Santa Barbara style, the home was designed by Henry Mohrschladt, an award-winning builder of sailboats and yachts. European stone and imported French Oak hardwood floors move throughout the home, while coffered and beamed ceilings, marble countertops, and granite thresholds make every room a piece of art. A lovely breakfast room adjoins the chef’s quality kitchen, and overlooks the beautiful outdoor space that provides plenty of opportunities for entertaining. A custom game and media room has  Cargo Shiplap walls (do you think Phelps is a fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines?), a built-in humidor, 350-bottle wine storage, and a sports room with custom locker cabinets. Given Michael’s career, there’s a heated pool and spa surrounded by white concha stone patios and private courtyards, as well as lush landscaping with fruit trees and rolling grass.
