Want to tickle the ivories in the same place as legendary singer-songwriter Billy Joel? Well, it’ll cost you! Joel has listed his house for sale in Manalapan, FL, for a whopping $27 million. But in true megastar style, there isn’t just one beachfront lot that’s part of this deal. The $27 million price tag (which is actually $2 million less than the original listing price) includes the main property as well as an undeveloped adjacent one. And chances are, Joel is going to make a killing on the estate when it sells, seeing as he just bought the two properties last year for $11.8 and $6.5 million, respectively.
Just 300 feet from the ocean and tucked behind private gates, the fully renovated main residence is a 9,312-square-foot modern Mediterranean estate. Perfect for any “Uptown Girl” (or guy, of course), seven beds and seven baths are spread throughout the home. Built in 2005, it comes with prime outdoor entertaining areas, with several patios, a swimming pool, and even dock access. And while we may not be in Hollywood, this home certainly has the La-La Land touch: a separate two-bed, one-bath guesthouse with a cabana bath.
Joel is no stranger to the Sunshine State. Back in 2013, he sold his 9,000-square-foot Mediterranean Revival mansion on Miami’s swanky La Gorce Island for a cool $14 million. He also used to own a fancy spread in the tiny Hamptons town of Sagaponack, NY, but he sold that back in 2011. Despite his bevy of beautiful mansions, it seems Joel isn’t available to enjoy them. He’s doing his residency at Madison Square Garden until December. Turns out, when he said he was in a “New York State of Mind,” he meant it!
