Possibly relocating to Bucks County PA

I'm a NYC commuter that lives in the Princeton area and is considering relocating and buying a home in Bucks County PA.  Are there any other individuals out there that are commuting to NYC from BUCKS?  Do you or don't you recommend it?  We are fairly new to this area but it seems that the property taxes in PA are much lower that in  NJ.  Your comments and/or suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello Carlos - I am working with a client now who also works in NYC and will be purchasing for the 1st time in Bucks County. I am showing them listings that would be within a resonable commute to both train stations ie; Trenton and/or Hamilton. We are looking in both Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield as there are several Townhome and Single Family home communities that have close proximity to Rt.#95 and or Rt.#1 to get a NYC commuter easily into NJ. I am also licensed in New Jersey and can assure you that property taxes are lower in PA. Let me know if you have any further questions or if there is anything I can to do help you in your search and/or decsion.
With Best Regards,

Hi Carlos,
I just sold a property to a client who lives in the Buckingham (Bucks County) area and is commuting to NYC. I have a number of friends that do as well. I am also very familiar with the Princeton area as I previously worked in the area and commuted to bucks County. Would you be taking the train from the Trenton Hamilton Train Station? If so, how far of a commute would you want to extend into Pennsylvania? I have many clients who either move from New Jersey due to the high taxes or relocate to the area and work in New Jersey and want to live in PA. Please feel free to go to my website or email me if you would like any specific information. I would be more than happy to assist you.

Hi Carlos,

I've helped many people from NY and North Jersey over the years relocate to Bucks County area. Most of my buyers prefer the following neighborhoods, because of their proximity to major highways and the train station.

- Newtown: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/newtown-real-estate.php
- Yardley: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/yardley-real-estate.php
- Langhorne: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/langhorne-real-estate.php
- Washington Crossing: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/washington-crossing-real-estate.php
- New Hope: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/new-hope-real-estate.php
- Certain areas of Doylestown: http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com/doylestown-real-estate.php

Of course, if you prefer a longer commute, you can live pretty much anywhere in Bucks County, but the neighborhoods above should give you a good start. And you're right, the property taxes in Bucks County are much lower than in NYC.

I recently sold a house to a NY gentleman who said, that it takes him less time now to commute to Manhattan than it did before from Brooklyn and the cost of living is so much lower. It's a no brainer.

If you have any questions or wish to see any of the homes in person, my contact information is on my website at http://www.ephiladelphiarealestate.com.

Regards,

Russell
