The Siesta Key bank owned homes for sale inventory numbers have dipped again. As of today there are three bank owned condominiums and two bank owned homes for sale on Siesta Key. I have had the opportunity to preview two of these properties. Here is what I saw.
Bank Owned Condo
This two bedroom, two bath, 1100 sq. ft. unit just came on the market at $259,000. It is located in a wonderful Gulf to Bay community on the northern end of Siesta Key. The unit is in a high rise building steps to the gulf front pool and fitness center as well as the beautiful powder sand beach. This would be the perfect place for an investor or vacation home purchaser that is willing to rehab the unit in its entirety. The rehab would include a new kitchen, new flooring and new appliances as well as a fresh coat of paint and new trim. While these renovations might cost $50,000 to $75,000, units in good condition in the same building sell for over $400,000.
Bank Owned Home
Priced at $799,000, this 2400 sq. ft. home is on a deep water canal with intercoastal access and plenty of room for your boats. Located in a private, tropical neighborhood, the home is just a few blocks from the world famous Siesta Key beach. With three bedrooms, two and one half baths and an oversized three car garage, there is room for everyone. The home boasts a large kitchen with recent upgrades including Corian counter tops and upgraded wood cabinets. Best of all, there is a sparkling pool with a screend lanai. The home could use a few cosmetic touches, but otherwise it is move in ready.
