Snowy day in Ennis Montana this morning.  We have had quite a bit of snow in the last few days.  Winter is still hanging in there, but as all the locals say " We need the moisture"!

Our website has been receiving a lot of action lately.  People are beginning to make their plans for the spring fishing season, the summer tourist season, and the fall hunting season.

We are still in a Buyers market, but many of the experts think that will change soon.  Most of the predictions call for an increase in prices this year.

We have added some new properties to our website, so please check out our listings at www.EnnisMontanaRealEstate.com or email me to do a personal search for you.  My Email address is wwmercer@gmail.com.

Here is one of the properties just added to our site:

There is a 2 mile riding trail on the property and BLM access. This is a very unique property located in the very desirable North Meadow Creek area.  $ 994,700.

Please call me for a viewing or additional information on this property.

  • Testimonials for Bill Mercer

Most of my business is based on referrals from my previous clients.  Keeping my clients happy is my most important goal.  Please read here to see what some of my clients have to say:

A Testimonial from Sheryl and Michael     We worked with Bill Mercer for more than one year in pursuit of that "just right" property. We were anxious to return to Montana but not sure what type of property we would purchase (land, permanent home, or second home). During that time Bill was patient, answering our many questions professionally and honestly. Our experience with Bill Mercer of Clearwater Montana Properties was exceptional from our first inquiry until a final purchase. Bill was a valuable resource, his website was inspirational, and his knowledge of available properties was instrumental in helping us locate the right second home. We will recommend Bill Mercer to our friends and anyone we meet in need of an outstanding Realtor for the Madison or Gallatin Valley areas. Thank you for the great experience, Bill. We will work with you again when we are ready to purchase a permanent home.

A Testimonial from Jeannie and Bill     We have been looking for 3 years for a home within an hour of Bozeman, working with numerous agents - we happened to call on a home Bill had for sale and from the first time we spoke, he was professional, knowledgeable, on top of the market there, and in the end, helped us to purchase a home that wasn't his listing. Bill took the time to understand our needs and our budget, and he stayed within those parameters, unlike many other agents. Bill and his office went above and beyond a number of times, we live 7 hours away and he helped to coordinate showings, offers, helped us to work with the BEST lenders. I would work with Bill again.

A Testimonial from Rachel  Bill is the consummate professional -- courteous, skilled, considerate, trustworthy, responsive.  From my first tentative inquiry, Bill took the time to understand my requirements and identified the perfect property for me.  Negotiations were completed smoothly.  Post-contract he continued to provide all the assistance I needed to have a successful settlement.  He goes way beyond what I expect from a real estate agent and is now helping me settle into my brand new community

Testimonial from the Ron & Vicky   Unbelievable, I have never worked with someone as knowledgeable and on top of things the way Bill was, I had several issues with the condition of the house. Bill was very helpful in locating and/or providing me with the right people I needed to talk with about plumbing, roofing and electrical problems, we were able to negotiate a price on the home that was suitable to both me and the seller. Bill went above and beyond his responsibilities supplying a mountain of paper work to the loan company I was dealing with. Allowing me to close on time.  All of this was completed from a distance 300 miles away from the home I purchased.

A Testimonial from West Fork Eagle    We have known Bill Mercer since 2007 when he assisted us with purchasing a building site in an upscale subdivision in Ennis, Montana. After building a custom home on our property, we asked Bill to list and sell it which he did within 8 months!  Once the listing was signed, marketing materials were prepared and went online on numerous websites. An open house and showings occurred as did local newspaper advertising.  We were happy with the offer process and he brought our Buyer to closing before the negotiated contract date.

Bill is a personable gentleman whose honesty and integrity blend with his professional attitude of representing his clients to the highest standards in the industry.  We believe he's the best Realtor in Montana and we would recommend him highly.

A Testimonial from Jim and Dana   Bill Mercer is the best realtor, in the best state in the West. There is no doubt that he is the hardest working and most knowledgeable real estate professional that I have had the pleasure of working with and; along with his lovely wife Quinn, enabled an absolutely wonderful transaction for everyone involved. He knows the territory extremely well and he knows how to get a deal done. He is honest, discrete, tireless, extremely responsive, and I would not hesitate recommending Bill’s services to anyone looking for real estate in Montana.

Also, he is a great fisherman or so I’ve heard…mostly from him.

Testimonial From Mike   My wife and I meet Bill and Quinn about three years ago and told them that when the time was right we thought that we wanted to buy a home in the Madison Valley. Bill was more than happy to show us around the area and give us a feel for what was available at the time and discussed values of property with us in a very honest manner. We were not ready to act on anything and Bill said not to worry and that he would keep in touch, let us know of new listings and changes in existing listings. The following summer, he graciously showed us more properties but never pushed us to make any offer’s at all. We still were not ready to buy but were delighted to continue to get a better idea of what was available and what things were worth. The summer of 2010 we got really serious and finally decided to try and buy something. Bill and Quinn were great in helping us determine values, keeping us from paying too much for one property in particular and finally helping us negotiate a great deal on a wonderful home. They were not only helpful with the purchase but after everything was closed they were even more helpful in getting us in touch with contractors, stone masons, security companies,  guy to clear driveway and I could go on and on. Bottom line that were very patient with us during our three year search and could not have been more helpful both before and after we bought.

  • The Best Real Estate Company Just Got Better!

Posted Under: Home Buying in Ennis, In My Neighborhood in Ennis  |  July 31, 2013 7:54 AM  |  405 views  |  No comments

The Best Real Estate Company Just Got Better!  The Ennis Clearwater Montana Properties office is happy to announce that Lincoln Roberts has just joined our team.  Bill, Quinn, and Kim are happy to welcome our newest partner.

Here is a short biography from our newest member:

A little about Lincoln Roberts and my service based philosophy of real estate:

I was born and raised in Nashville a small town in Southern Indiana.  I graduated from Indiana University and followed my desire to move west.  I first settled in the ski resort community of Crested Butte in Colorado.  I spent 3 years in Crested Butte before making my first trip to Montana.  I first visited Ennis and the Madison Valley in 1998 and I was hooked.  I packed my bags and moved to the Madison Valley in the spring of 1999 and have never left.

I spent my first summer in the area in Virginia City, learning the history and running the Nevada City Hotel and cabins.  As winter blew in I moved over the mountain to the resort community of Big Sky where I hiked, skied, fished and worked in hospitality and real estate at a little resort called the Big EZ.

The Big EZ was a small luxury Bed and Breakfast and real estate development on a mountaintop overlooking the Big Sky Valley and down into Yellowstone National Park.  As General Manager of the Big EZ Lodge I honed my customer service skills in both hospitality and real estate.  At the Big EZ our motto was “Anticipatory Service”  Striving to anticipate what our guests and clients wanted before they had to ask.

After 5 years living in Big Sky, MT, meeting my wife and starting to think about family, realized we wanted to be in the more year round community of Ennis here in the Madison Valley.  We bought an old house in downtown Ennis and begun the ongoing renovation process.  We now have a great little house and our beautiful daughter Josephine.

The communities around the Madison Valley are so welcoming it’s hard not to give back.  I am an active board member of Madison Byways, a non-profit group working to promote hiking and biking trails in the area.  I am also a member of the Ennis Lions Club and work alongside a great group of people to help promote schools, vision, and community.  As an Ennis Lion our motto is “We Serve”

I’ve found that the “We Serve” and “Anticipatory Service” Mottos are not unique to success in community organizations and hospitality.  These simple ideas are the foundation of my Real Estate career and I strive to use this service culture to make each and every one of my client’s real estate transactions simple, stress free, and in line with what you envision as your Montana Dream.
