Eliminating Clutter in Workspaces
A lot of time sellers forget or choose not to consider the home office work space as important to declutter etc when selling a home. Big mistake! Buyers want to see the possibilities of what that area can be used for if not an office environment. It pays to have a home office work space looking its best when selling.
One way to get a handle on the clutter yet help homeowners be able to easily access what they need while their house is on the market, is to get creative using decorative storage solutions.
Cumbersome books, notebooks and software boxes generally look unattractive on shelves, but can be neatly stored in a wicker trunk and set beside a desk. Important papers and small desk items can be stored in lidded wicker baskets stacked on the floor or placed on shelves. Dress up the area with plants, modern wall art and a colorful throw pillow to soften the look of a harsh desk chair. Now, it’s an area buyers will gravitate to and better see how they could use the space.
