How important are Parks & Recreation to you?

So, is living close to and using the parks and recreation in your area important to you? If so, what type of outdoor activites do you enjoy?

For me, living close to parks and recreation is one of the reasons I moved back to the State College, PA area. Being so close to Stone Valley Recreation Area, Colyer Lake, Black Moshannon State Park, Rothrock State Park, Raystown, Alan Seegar Natural Area, and so many more...is spectacular. Enjoying the surrounds of where you live is vital. Your area's Parks and Recreation can really add value to where you live.  Now, I just need to work on getting outside to enjoy them more!

Here in philadelphia, generally there are plenty of outdoor activities no matter what subdivision you live in. Although when people think of the city they do not think outdoors but there are plenty of outdoor recreational activities such as penns landing which is walking distance from old city and much more.

I think if I were moving I would be more focused on being close to work and schools versus outdoors activities since everything is so close by transportation
