89er Days Celebration

This annual event commemorates the Land Run of 1889 and the birth of Guthrie.Â The celebration kicks off on Tuesday with the annual Chuckwagon Feed.Â Other highlights include an arts and crafts show, 89er Parade, and a variety of traditional rodeo events.

Choctawâ€™s Land Run Festival celebrates the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889.Â Planned activities include historical presentations, re-enactor encampments, historical figure presentations, cowboy encampments, cavalry encampments, a jailhouse, gun fights, old fashioned games and much more.Â Hours are from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Friday, Apr 20 â€“ OKC Farmerâ€™s Market, OKC
Come the downtown OKC for the cityâ€™s largest martini tasting.Â This event combined live entertainment, appetizers and a silent art auction with one of the best known beverages.Â Event hours are from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
2012 U.S. Olympic Trials for Flatwater Sprint
Friday, Apr 20 â€“ Saturday, Apr 21 â€“ Boathouse District, OKC
Held in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, this event will feature the Womenâ€™s Singles Kayak 500-meter event and the Menâ€™s Single Kayak 200-meter event, among others.Â Cheer on your favorite athletes as they race for a shot at making their Olympic dreams come true.
