Barnes And Noble To Close Hundreds Of Stores

Say it aint so! I read this and nearly caught a tear. I am an admitted geek and total book worm – and this was like finding out Santa Clause wasn’t real. First Borders closed – and that was traumatic enough for me – now Barnes and Noble is in on it, too? I say we stage an intervention! I admit that I am an e-reader freak and you can always find my Nook in my handbag. (you never know when you can catch a moment to read a page or 2) But there is just something magical about holding a book in your hand… and dog earring a page… or having a beautiful library in your home (which I do) displaying your favorites! You can’t display your e-reader in your library!!

I have spent many wonderful moments in Barnes and Noble and Borders with my girls discovering new authors, mystical lands, and just having a mommy-daughter bonding moment. I’m crossing my fingers that the Plano and Frisco area stores won’t be affected. Yipes! I think I might need a hug…

Sad news, I know we are all trying to go paperless, but I find visiting Barnes and Noble, browsing books and having a cup of Joe to be very relaxing!
