To Stage Or Not To Stage?

Of course you should stage your home; sometimes it’s necessary to sell it. It has been statistically proven that properly staged homes have sold 2 to 3 times faster and for 3-10% more than homes that have not been staged. Staging makes your house look bigger, brighter, cleaner, warmer, more loving and, best of all; it makes home buyers want to buy it!!! You will set your home apart from it's competition. Staging is what you do after you've cleaned, decluttered, painted, made minor repairs, etc.; yes there is more after all that is done. By depersonalizing the home you are making it easier for buyers to visualize the house as their home. Staging is all about dressing the house for sale and adding some final touches to catch a buyer’s eye. It is important, very important, to remember that staging is not the same as decorating for your personal taste. Staging will make your home feel comfortable and welcoming to a larger spectrum of preferences and styles. You are able to create the right atmosphere for buyers when they first enter the home and focus the buyers' attention on the product you wish to sell: the house itself!

Stage and stage some more!

Hi Kelly. I agree with you, you have to depersonalize a home so buyers can put themselves in that home. In this market, a home has to be immaculate - fresh paint, clean carpet and rooms that flow. Make a feature of the home a showcase. If you have a fireplace, make sure you have the spot lights on for any showings.

Price brings them to look, but staging sells.

Great comments, Kelly.
