"In a Graying Population, Business Opportunity" New York Times

Boomers flex their power and influence as they move in to "old age."  This time it will be different.  As the baby boomers age, they represent an enormous business opportunity for virtually every industry.  Health care and technology seem like prominent areas, but there are also opportunities in real estate beyond the warehousing of seniors in 3-story senior housing projects.

Natasha Singer of The New York Times has written an outstanding article on the graying population that is very informative and full of excellent links to help further understand the opportunities to serve this massive demographic.

With in the article, there are links to some excellent sites including, Disruptive Demographics, and AgeWave.  Also, don't miss the graphics display that shows overtime, how the population in the U.S. is aging.

It's worth noting that yesterday, the Wall Street Journal published a story about how companies are retooling to meet the needs of aging baby boomers.
