I live in the Northern Denver Metro region but had to go down to Colorado Springs the other day to take care of some real estate business. Â I was really surprised to see how vibrant the Northern Colorado Springs area has become. Â The local businesses were busy, people were shopping, and everything seemed very new and clean looking.
Since I'm in real estate I always notice those things, how people are taking care of their lawns, how many vacancies there are in local strip malls, the general 'feel' or 'vibe' of a neighborhood, etc. Â While down there I stopped in to visit my favoriteÂ
Colorado Springs Dentist, Dr Cockrell. Â He's always pleasant runs a great practice. Â I had a chance to chat with him and he reaffirmed what I observed about the area that business was picking up again locally and people in general seemed to be more upbeat.
After that I drove around a bit to check out some more local shopping strip malls and, at least in the Northern part of Colorado Springs, found them all to be pretty busy with seemingly low vacancy. Â After all the difficulties the Colorado Springs real estate market has suffered through the last few years, it's good to see them going in the right direction!
