Â Â Â Â Â Â Two unique events happening soon in Parker will be sure to interest more than a few of its residents.Â On Friday December 14thÂ the Parker Fieldhouse will be hosting a Nuggets Skills Challenge starting at 5:00pm. Â The Nuggets Skills Challenge gives kids a chance to compete in separate divisions in dribbling, shooting and passing, with the winner of each division advancing to the sectionals and then possibly on to the state competition. Registration will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the event starting at 5 p.m. This event is free. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate. Go to www.ParkerRec.com to register.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Those of you with younger kids will appreciate this next event, A Parentsâ€™ Night Out event on Saturday December 15thÂ from 6:00-10:30pm at the Parker Fieldhouse.Â Mom and Dad, grab some friends and enjoy a night with adults while their talented staff will watch your kids, keep your kids active and entertained, all so you don't have to. They will host plenty of games and activities, crafts, movies, climbing and skating (must bring your own skates) to keep your kids busy. For kids who need a little down time, they show a family-friendly feature film and mini-films in the Activity Rooms. The movie title will be posted at check-in. Concessions will be available to purchase.Â The cost will be $15 for the first child; $10 each additional sibling. Registration fee increases $5 per transaction day of.
