I have worked in the real estate industry in some way or another for nearly 20 years now. I take that back, it's been more than 20 years. I started in property management cleaning hallways and a clubhouse for an apartment complex for a friends business when I was 15 years old. One day the manager of the apartment complex had all of her staff call in sick. She asked me if I owned a shirt and a tie. I said "Yes". She said go get it and you are a leasing agent today. I rented 6 apartments that day, more than most of her agents would rent in a 2 week period. Thus started my real estate career.
I started in property management and think that in some way, shape or form it will always be a core part of my professional career. Since then I have done commercial sales and leasing, residential home sales, commercial property construction & development and hotel/restaurant development and operations. There isn't a type of real estate product or transaction I haven't been involved in over the last 20 years in some capacity. I have had the opportunity to sell 1/20th of an acre piece of land that were former Ag buying stations and have also had the opportunity to work on commercial real estate deals involving millions of square feet of real estate.
Most recently I have had the opportunity to work with USstoragesearch.com
- the leading and largest self storage website in the US. Self storage
is a unique niche of real estate and can be very important in selling and buying a home, the moving process and relocation. In my blog I hope to share some more tips and ideas about what we do and my experience in the real estate world.
