Friends of the Sunnyvale Library Book Sale – The Friends of the Library will have its next Book Sale on September 14-15 at the Sunnyvale Library

Saturday is the general sale, from 10 am to 4 pm. Friends admitted at 9 am. Teachers get a 20% discount with a school ID. Cash, check, and credit/debit accepted on Saturday.

Sunday is a bag sale from 1 pm to 4 pm. Buy a grocery bag and fill it for 5.00. Cash and check during the bag sale.

Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival – The 2013 Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival will feature the talents of local and regional artists with nearly 175 booths to visit, 25 community groups serving international foods, four vintners pouring fine wines, micro-brewed beer, live entertainment on three stages, and the ever-popular Kids Kingdom.

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is a tradition which brings the community together for one common purpose: to support vital community groups and organizations in Santa Clara. To date, the Festival has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is free of charge to the community. Please leave your pets at home. The Santa Clara City Council has passed a special weekend ordinance that does not allow pets to be brought to the Festival.

Last Community Tour in 2013 of Sunnyvale’s Water Pollution Control Plant – If you live in Sunnyvale … Do you know where the water from your inside drains flows to? Find out by taking a tour of Sunnyvale’s Water Pollution Control Plant. You’ll also learn about the sustainable practices that take place and what we do with the recycled water made on site. For safety concerns, only youth aged 8 and above may attend.
