Web Analyst
As a Web Analyst, you will be part of Trulia’s Insights team which is responsible for developing the company’s reporting abilities and for delivering accurate and timely scorecards and dashboards. The Reporting Analyst will work closely with multiple business groups to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for respective dashboards thereby helping drive decision making. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and implementing standard metrics collection and reporting methods for the company.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has the ‘smarts’ and is hungry to learn very quickly from peers.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting, performance monitoring and insights via dashboards, scorecards and ad hoc analysis.
- Work with senior management to create reports for investors, partners and other stakeholders.
- Participate in site re-designs and enhancements as a measurements expert, identifying reporting requirements, implementing new metrics and reporting enhancement results.
- Define the reporting needs for the business and work with engineering counterparts to have automated reports developed.
- Track and analyze web site performance, click stream and paths to provide data driven business intelligence .
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to manipulate large data sets using Excel or other appropriate tools.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including pivot tables, functions, and vlookups.
- Self starter with a desire to learn and the ability to rapidly understand the business and its drivers.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for information gathering and the ability to interact with various client groups.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ability to exercise excellent discretion and judgment when dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- BA/BS in business administration or a technical discipline required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Omniture SiteCatalyst, Discover, SAINT and data warehouse a plus.
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements for the data warehousing and reporting engineering team to execute against.
