"It’s a quiet neighborhood, the city takes care of the streets maintenance, trash pick up is great. Neighbors don’t bother or annoy you. No violence, extremely low crime area. No vagabonds, people loitering. This is a fantastic and safe town, great to raise a family. "

"Nutter Fort is ideal for any type of family. Nutter Fort Elementry is centrally located in the town and Robert C. Byrd High School is less than a five minute drive. The town's park is well kept and offers a paved 3/4 mile walking/running trail. In the entire time I've lived in Nutter Fort I've never seen anything that I would consider threatening. I've never seen the police called out to any homes in my area. If they were ever called upon though they would be quick to arrive because they, as well as the fire department, are centrally located and never more than a couple minutes away. The area offers a lot of instance for the community to get together. Nutter Fort hosts the Blackberry Festival, Symphony Under the Stars, a town-wide yardsale, among many other events. Through the Summer month's they have a kids night once a week at the park where they'll bring in a bunch of inflatable games and even play movies."
