"no public transit, about 10 minutes to town and 39 to 45 minutes to most jobs. Medium traffic, lots of road work year round. Mostly industrial or tourism area. "

"A lot of people come here to walk the circular road. It’s about 5 miles, not flat. Dogs enjoy the walk, except smaller dogs legs get tired trying to keep up. "

"We’ve lived here 14 years. Views are beautiful. Our son went to grade school through graduating high school. It is an economically depressed area, but religious & family values prevail. "

"The people are nice. Churches are active . Community is trying to improve. They sponsor youth activities. Car shows are a big deal in this town. There is a nice community center"

"I've lived in Newport for 25 years now, its a beautiful area. For the most part a pretty safe area to raise kids. And there is a small town southern charm to this place."

"Tried to walk our dogs on the street we live and it’s a race track, in fact one person tried to hit my wife with there car. Also was told to walk our dogs at the park."

"Where schools are and crime rates in the area. It also important for parents to know how far they may be commuting back and forth to work. Furthermore, it may be convenient to know where the shopping areas are located. I "
