"I haven’t lived on the south side before, but I’ve been there shopping and visiting friends who have lived in the neighborhood, and always thought it to be friendly, and has a very cozy feeling to it"

"There are sidewalks for walking but from my experience there is never much yard space. However there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood."

"There’s Always dogs out or someone walking there dog . People are nice and some times clean up after there dogs. Dogs are usually always nice I don’t remember coming across a mean dog"

"I take the 51 to and from work, and the 54 into the strip district to shop. They both run fairly frequently, less so on the weekends."

"There is a very nice dog park for small and large dogs. There are coffee shops and restaurants in the area that allow dogs. There is a very clean and respected veterinary clinic. One of the biggest negatives is the lack of yards and grass in the area. There are hiking trails and a huge park that we often take our own dog too at the top of the slopes. "

"The views and the accessibility. It’s so easy to get anywhere downtown, Oakland, or the north shore quickly. Bus lines are everywhere. "

"It's cheaper than the flats and you hear less drunken fights. Parking is a huge pain but the convenience of the location is worth it. "
