"typical problems, but the. community really comes together in times of need I have lived here most of my life and raised my kids here. Great school system plus community college. Quick commute to Ames and Des Moines."

"Nearby park is nice. Easy to take dogs for walks. Some streets do not have sidewalks but walking on the street is not an issues. Sometimes very busy when school is happening "

"Few people choose to live here, it is out of necessity because it is cheap and Marshalltown is full of income based government dependant housing. "

"13th Street area is being revitalized with new businesses. This is near the Iowa Veterans Home, but is on a busy street."

" There is no additional shopping as the Mall is almost non-existamt. One would need to travel to a further location (Wal Mart) to find the strip mall there. Strip Malls being( inconvenient in the winter months) definitely take away from the pleasant shopping that used to be so readily available on this side of town."
