"Freeport is a small town just 10 minutes from the beaches of South Walton with wooded natural areas, parks and access to the bay. A historic shipping port is at the heart of the town and includes a neighborhood boat ramp and access to the Bay. Freeport is home to the EO Wilson Biophilia Center, which is open to the public on weekends. The community is gathers at the Library, Community Center, Freeport City Hall Park & Public Pool, and the Regional Sports Complex at Hammock Bay."
